Identify the Fluid: Place white cardboard under the leak. Red/pink fluid is transmission fluid.
Check Fluid Level: With the engine warm and in Park/Neutral (check manual), check the dipstick if available.
Note the Cause: A low fluid level is the #1 cause of most transmission problems.
